Sapele - Glossy triangle sapele wood pendant - I was an off-cut [020-0049]

A glossy handmade triangle wood pendant with a hard wax polish. This is a simple triangle shape which shows off the amazing colour and grain of this wood. It’s quite a light piece. One thing I particularly like about sapele is that the wood is very dull when sanded but springs to life when waxed and the grain just pops out.

The pendant is triangular, roughly 2.5cm at the base, 4cm tall and 0.6cm thick.

The necklace is adjustable from around 30 - 80 cm using simple sterling silver crimp ends (the equivalent of sliding knots).

This sapele wood is an off-cut from timber merchant Oscar Windebank in Corsham. They keep the off cuts when cutting to size so they can be reused.
