Honeysuckle - Unusual honeysuckle pendant with a twisted silver bail and 20" (51cm) waxed cotton necklace - I was found on a walk [047-0113]

An unusual shaped pendant made from honeysuckle. This is a slice through the stem showing the end grain with a star like pattern and finished with a mid-gloss wax. The edges are left rough which gives a lovely contracts to the smooth face. It's very light despite looking quite chunky. A twisted sterling silver bail connects it to the necklace. The necklace is 20"/51cm black waxed cotton finished with a sterling silver bolt clasp.

It's roughly 5.5cm x 5cm x 1.5cm thick at the bottom tapering towards to the top.

I found this hanging down from a tree while walking around Corsham. The honeysuckle was dead so I grabbed some of the main stem.
